WEEKLY LECTURE   | 25-27 JANUARY 2021   What is documentation about? Documentation is about writing or documenting information about a project and it can be used to furnish evidence. It is a way to keep track of our work and making it clear so that we would have a solid, repeatable process that leads us to build a greater experience.  Documentation on what we want to know: - The planning  - Documenting the process of the project - Linking ideas to the question (Research question) - Prototyping Therefore, before moving on to the final project we would need a prototype of the product to see if the overall project works or not. A prototype is a draft version of a product that allows you to explore your ideas and show the intention behind its feature. A prototype can be anything from paper drawing at the beginning to something that allows the user to click-through of a few pieces of content to a fully functioning site. The overall design concept to the user before inves...

WEEKLY LECTURE   | 18-20 JANUARY 2021 This weeks lecture's topic would be risk and protocol. In the process of our project, there would be some guidance for ethical approval on activities that involves human participants that we would need to follow.   WEEKLY LECTURE   | 11-13 JANUARY 2021 This week, the lecture thought us about research and project planning. The project design is about filling a gap in the market. The importance of creating a questionnaire, it allows us to understand our audience and what they want. It also allows us to research by helping us understand the trends driven changes in the industry. This would help us understand more about our target audience base on our topic. There is some question asked by the lecture that made me think before creating the project.  Questions: 1. What do you know about the medium you have chosen right now? ans: I have chosen to create AR/VR and Arduino. Virtual Reality (VR) is created by computer technology to create a simulated environment. Augmented Reality (AR) is mainly focused on entertainment and educational sectors. (Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality, 2021) 2. How have they impacted on your choices? ans: I am quite new to create AR/VR and Arduino, I h...

WEEKLY LECTURE   | 04-06 JANUARY 2021 Today, after the lecture had introduced us to research and development and the assignment brief the lecture started the class by the topic "Planning Your Project" on how to setting it up. To get started we would need to think where we want to be and what don't we know of is the knowledge gap. There are many things that we did not know about society. The important part that we need to figure out is what problem we are trying to solve? and what isn't known about your topic. The lecture also thought us about how important is to justify the rationale. This gets me to think about the topic that I would want to do.  The topic also involves defining the differents between the target audience and user personas. A user persona is a semi-fictional character that bases on your product or projects consumer/customer. Personas are created by talking to the consumer and segmenting various demographic and psychographic data to improve product ma...
