Week 05

 WEEKLY LECTURE | 01-03 February 2021

This week we are having a short lecture on the topic "pitching".  Why pitching? Pitching is to pitch about the purpose of the project and poses the problem that the project aims to solve. It means to pitch your idea to someone and offer ideas for consideration. It may be someone who is in your organization, boss, or client. (Forsyth, n.d.) Pitching includes understanding who is the user personas that visits your website and knowing how they went through the website. How do the projects works and how to approach people?  It is important to pitch the features and focus of the project. Where would this project be distributed and the timeline of the project?

The pitching presentation slides must be simple and clear for the audience to understand the whole idea of the project. Keeping it short and uses analogies to back up the point that you are making. To have a better starting point use a strong introduction or vision to let the audience have an idea of what is the project about before going into details. Showing the problem that you would want to solve and offer solutions to the problem. Differentiating the product from its competitors would help to increase its value in the market.

In conclusion, I have understood how to prepare to pitch presentation slides for the ideas of the project. This practices would be a great help for me in the future. There are a lot of times where the designer would have to pitch their ideas to their clients. In order for the clients to have a better understanding of the ideas and to see if the ideas would need to improved base on the client comment.

 PROJECT PROGRESS |
After correcting the user scenario I have done the user flow and information architecture. User flow is the path that is taken by the user persona on a website to complete a task. The user flow takes them from the entry point through a set of steps towards the goals, such as to purchase a product. (User Flow, 2021) Collecting data on each step in the user flow would allow me to evaluate how the users navigate through the sales funnel.

Then, information Architecture is a focus structural design of shared information environments. It is organised, structured, and labelling content in an effective and sustainable way. The goal is to help users find information and complete their goals.

User Flow

Information Architecture
The structural design of the website let me understand how the websites work and what content page needed. Structuring the websites helps the users to find and process the information that they needed.

Further Research (Gamification)
Furthermore, I had also done some further research on VR gamification. This is to helps me understand more about VR gamification.
