Week 11
PROJECT PROGRESS | 15-17 March 2021
In this stage, I have started caring out the usability test. Website usability testing is a practice of evaluating the functionality and design of your website by observing the user's actions and behaviour as they complete a task. (testing? testing?, tests? and website?, 2021) During the test, each user would be given an objective for usability testing. This would help to see if the website prototype is easy to navigate and at the same time, while the user is testing out the prototype their action would be screen recorded. This is to see the behaviour of the user if they have face any obstacle in the process of reaching the objective. After they have gone through the website prototype they would be given a questionnaire to help with collecting feedback from the user. The questionnaire is to collect data on the web prototype.
Responses Analyse
In this web prototype testing, there is five users who would be given an objective. The user would have to reach their objective and they can also explore the website.
At the end of the test, it seems that the website still needs some improvement from the user feedback. I felt that this usability test has helped me to understand the user more and on how to make this website better. There is some important part where I have missed out on this website prototype. That is from the user feedback I have noticed that the VR game should be placed as the main highlight this would attract the audience to view the website. While playing the VR game the audience would also understand the importance of colour and they would also be interested in exploring other content of the website. The main page of the website should be explaining more about the VR game than continue on other information. There is also some linking page that is needed to fix.
The usability test has helped me to understand which part needs improvement and why it needs to be improved. To create a good website, first, we would need to understand our user and also how they behaved throughout the website.

Iteration Design
After analysing the result from the user I have started on fixing the problem from the user feedback. There are parts where I would need to check again as there is some problem in the linking part.
Problem to fix list:
1. The arrangement of the navigation putting VR Game as first
2. Button "game" change to VR Game
3. Change the website title to a clearer title exp: "welcome to the VR Game"
4. VR Game page*
- It is a bit inconvenient because I need to scroll down to understand how to play the game first then I need to scroll it up to play, I think that explains the game first and place the game after it.
- Take away the explaining the game as the game inside have the explanation
replace it to the purpose of this game is about?
5. Colour palette page
- linking part don't let the screen go up when the user presses another page
6. colour blind & colour palette should fall under About
7. Buttons are too small*
8. Hover needed to add background to the dropdowns
9. Navigation bar needs to have a background
10. Recheck the linking part
